GUY POREH, CHIEF INNOVATION OFFICER Guy always wanted to be in advertising, but started his professional career (a long time ago) as a producer of an Israeli television talk show. At some point he decided to travel the world, and somewhere between the beaches of Thailand and the beaches of Fiji, he fell in love with the Internet and what it could do.   Guy was quickly recruited to Israel’s largest web portal, Walla, to create an online TV experience. He and his team created the biggest and most successful video web channel in the country. A few years later, they would have their asses handed to them by a young startup with the ridiculous name “YouTube”. Next, Guy co-founded one of the first and most innovative digital ad agencies in Israel, Redhead. Here, he worked with clients ranging from Unilever to DreamWorks while winning lots of creative awards along the way. From there, Guy spent a few years as CEO of Y&R interactive and then EVP of New Media at BBDO Tel Aviv doing innovative work for Wrigley, Opel and others. He ensured his clients were always a step ahead of the competition in terms of innovative tech and digital products, which eventually led to inventing and co-founding Snoox, a social recommendation platform that TechCrunch called “Pinterest with a purpose”.. Amongst his accomplishments is establishing Gitam's online performance marketing department growing revenue by 50% year over year. Guy is also the senior adviser on digital, social and innovation for Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He loves the beach. And hanging out with his wife and three-year-old son. And movies. And comic books. And movies about comic books.
